hmmm.. well, i can see the logic in why you want to get 50k soft leather, to make 50k coifs.. but what are you gonna do then? after that 1.850mil crafting exp, you have 50k coifs to sell, not only will that be time consuming.. but you wont make much money back..

the only other good option i can think of is green and/or blue hides, they give great crafting exp, and you can alch the bodies afterwards and get alot of your money back. One downfall is that if you want to buy alot, be prepared to have to pay 1.6k-1.8k per green and 2.2k-2.4k per blue for bulk.. If you wanna buy for cheaper, it will take awhile to accumulate a large amount.

Also you have to worry about making nats, and if you cant, then most likely you will have to pay 300+ each for them.

those are the 2 main options i would go with.. some people like to use molten glass in raising their crafting level. But it is a very slow way to do so.

Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty good way to raise crafting.

krazzi, you said money was no problem, so you're whole argument is kinda false :P

faster craftin experience would be by making glass orbs then once u get a few more lvls ofa that u can then charge the orbs and make them into battlestaffs for even more xp tho glass making and battlestaff making can get tedious after so many but the profits are worth it as they alch for over 2k profit and lower lvl players tend to buy them for a decent amount too.

You could do that. But it will be long and boring.

I'd suggest you jsut buying a few thousand to get you to get you to 57 Crafting. Then, buy green hides and craft the best you can of them untill you can do blue. Maybe go on the RS forums and post one of those shops, so you will be selling and buying things you need at all times. It's very fast.

I find that silver is one of the best ways to raise crafting, after all you can steal it, and smith it at a very low smithing level. If you go to free worlds to buy, you can find that buying silver (ores or bars) is a lot cheaper on the official forums. (worlds - 200ea: forums - 400ea)

Tiaras arent that good to sell, but can be used to raise runecrafting...

Another good way to raise crafting is if you have nature runes. If you buy, say, 5k green dragonhides, you can make 5k nature runes, make green vambraces and alch for the same price you bought them for. (you may lose 20gp per hide if you buy them un-tanned)

From personal experience, soft and hard leathers are one of the worst ways to raise crafting when you are of a medium level. Simply because of all the work involved. If you can stick to crafting 50k coifs, then go ahead, but after that, you wont be able to sell them, and you'll have spent quite a bit on thread :P

OT: (wouldn't the *real* zezima be able to spell? lol.)

Im with xbladez. It's how i raised my crafting mainly from making glass and battlestaffs. I believe it was more like a 9.5k alch value to.

molten glass takes a very long time to get bulk of though. AND you'll need to enchant them. If you just buy the orbs then youve missed out on exp. =-\ You also need to buy battlestaves (max 5 per store) at 7k ea. Money isnt an object, but I'm sure you wont like switcing worlds a lot of times.

I always find spinning Flax to be okay, I never do anything else. I don't see much of a point to buying 50k hides and making 50k coifs... You won't refund it. Dragonhides is another good way, if you get it up to the right levels you can buy hides, craft them, alchemy them and buy more hides.
