I may have said this before... Someone else may have said this before... But Runescape needs mail like WoW and other leading games. Mail makes trading possible even when the person that you are trading with is offline or you want to send a message. Mail would allow people to send surprises to other characters just to be nice or to contact a mod about an abuse. the report abuse dialogue window would be replaced with a abuse reporting address to recieve mail. They could charge a 50gp postage fee to deter people from sending junk to others. please tell me what you think! |

ummm, i think what you mean is that we should have a way to leave messages for opeople even when they're offline. if so, then, yes, i agree. |

I agree, I've always thought that would be a good idea, but there's too many flaws in it. There would need to be a limit on how many messeges you can send in a certain time period, it would need to be p2p because you could easily start tons of accounts and mail bomb someone, and you should get the option to make it so only friends could mail you so some of the more well known individuals would not get constant mail from noobs. |

We should only be able to send messages. If we could send items to other players without trading it would be real easy to violate rule 8. |

Hmm. Must have read it wrong. Why would you be trading with someone who's offline? It doesn't take much time to switch worlds. Anyway, this inbox will have to be kept separate from the staff inbox so as to prevent scamming. |

You didn't read it wrong, the sentence wasn't clear enough; it didn't imply arranging a trade. But...I will have to agree with the suggestion. With the inability to post email addresses and/or messenger handles, this could be a viable solution -- if Jagex has the hardware to do it. |

hmmm that sounds like a good idea....but i think when he means trade, i think he means that you could suggest a trade...not complete it without the person being there....but yeah, that's a great idea |

seems like a good enough idea. i think it would only be able to allow text however, its too complex to come up with a system allowing for trades of items etc. there would be an infinite number of flaws however. noobs would over run it so it would have to to be members only and it would have to be noob safe. would take ages to develop it for proper use but i agree, good thought. |

I agree, however; you should only be able to send/recieve messages from friends. (people who are in your list who have you in theirs.) This would reduce unwanted spam like "phr33 st00f pl0x zezima" or "h0w c4n 1 b3 4 m0d?" |

yeah but if you're trading wih somebody new you wouldn't nesscarily have their sn. i say just make an unlimited block address. and something like report abuse thing |
