Runescape Bits & Bytes :: View topic - What im sick of in this game, My Rant

That is true. 70% Whilst I am in the Fishing Guild I hear alot of those kinds of insults to others (once even from a moderator ><). Exactly why Jagex has put in the Public Chat option. It can get very tiresome of hearing people insult others, another reason for why we have the Report Abuse option. I hate it when people get all on my back for being who I am, and I just ignore what kind of idiot stoops to calling a fellow Runescape player an idiot (especially when they call me a nerd for playing this game and here they are 10 lvls. higher than me, insulting me). The game is about working together and having fun, not about getting in the other's face just because he lives differently.

Those who step down to that level should just think about what they have put upon themselves.

Well after spending alot of time in the fishing guild over the past month or two, i have seen an over abundance of sick, insulting people and it's really starting to annoy me, i now spend most of my time with public off as I'll tend to hear people insulting each other or making perverse remarks if i leave it on, I've reported a few of the more extreme people but i suspect nothing will be done by Jagex, i know not all people in the game are like this, but a small few are ruining it for the vast majority and alot of people in this game need to grow up. I have seen discrimination in barrel fulls and alot of people making remarks to others that are frankly so disgusting i never wish to hear anything of the like again. I like this game, i don't like a few of the sad sad individuals who play it.

Weird. Thefishing guide is my haven from the idiots. I n ever see any arguments..and if there is the guy userly asks for it and it's all cleared up soon enough. You do get some sexual conversations. But go anywere with teenagers and you will anyway..there only joking around. It's innocent enough. Try fishing on a diffrent world.

That is the bad part of playing Runescape. Especially at the fishing guild. People get so bored there that they talk about anything and it usually turns into a big war with a lot of arguing. I like to avoid the fishing guild as much as I can.

hey with catherby and the dwarfen mines who needs the fishing guild? its true this happens but it cant be stopped. so u ban everyone or mute them cos they cause annoyance and downright sickening feelings to those around them, it wont fix anything cos another little noob will come along and do the same thing..its a vicious cycle that cant be stopped. jagex have given us different options to use (private, public) so thats the best its gonna get i feel

i wasn't suggesting it needed to be changed, I'm saying certain people who take it too far should be banned, not everyone who's like that, it's simply not plausible, I'm merely complaining that this game is inhabited by alot of immature people, they are a minority, but more noticeable.

Thousands upon thousands of imature little twerps running around saying and doing as th ey like because they have a computer screen to protect them. There's only a few hundred adults playing this game and a few thousand elder teenagers..add on a few hundred of the younger players who actuley have the smarts to be nice and we are still outnumbered by 90 odd thousand.

ther arguing coz ther tryin 2 prove ther beta thn each other, anuva way peeps get intio arguements is if they start argueing 1 challenges 2 duel and the other wont accept. i wont lie i do get in arguements alot on RS and its bcoz sum1 will insult me i just challenge em 2 duel, they decline thn try slatin me dwn for no reason?!?!!!??! its very annoying

It gets the point where I just turn off public and stick some Dylan, Cash, Mason or Bright Eyes on. Granted I'm one of the Miniclip generation but I've been playing a year now and I understand respect is needed which is why i don't fawn over every 100+ i see.

**** Straight! I want to become a Player Mod, and just do a weekly sweep of Catherby and mute all those runts! I hadn't fished at Catherby in a long time, but now I fish sharks while growing herbs. It reoccured to me just how bad the problem is. Too bad there isn't a "smite" option for player mods as well. Tylon

PINK!!! well, i think that i have a solution, go to world 23 or whichever one it is........it used to be rsc's world 16.....thats where all the rich peeps hang out, i went there to fish with aled alig cus he was like "i got your order of sea turts and mantas ready" and i was like "ok"........certainly when i go there, i pay for the fish, i start fishing myself and i look around 2 level 126's were fishing, there were at least 8 blue party hats on peeps heads......1 set of full dragon, 3 sets of full barrows.........and everyone was quiet, except for the rare peep of "yes! 89 fishing!" or "omg, you're ranked 1, i just realized that"---and then back to fishing. go to the old rsc world 16 which is 23 now i think and fish there, peeps are so nice there. hell, i had a conversation with a level 126, he didnt even tell me to take a hike (if you know what i mean). thats all. ~Mediumwell~

I'm guessing you fish on world 27. Most of the people who fish on world 27 are either: - one of the people who knows everyone, because that is like the world that everyone who is anyone fishes. - One of the enemy clan's the share their homeworld; for example, WG and DOA. - Or they just like to randomly get mad at people.
