Mabye send it to them and see what they think. That would come mighty useful at times.

Here's something I thought of today when I went mith mining: I'd love it if Jagex published a diagram of how many people are usually online during each hour of the day. It could be a simple diagram with 24 columns. It would quickly show you how crowded the worlds are at certain hours. This would give you an idea of which hour is the busiest and best for selling your valuables in the middle of Varrock, for example, or which hour is the most quiet and best for mining rare ores or doing something else that is prone to hard competition. I'm sure Jagex has a range of tools for monitoring server usage and it would be a relatively simple task to print out a diagram of it. |

I don't get it. Why not just go to the busyest world? Or better yet world 1 or 2? They are *ALWAYS* the busyest worlds. Don't really see why you need an hourly report. |

Obviously. Let me put it another way. It's not an hourly report, it's a static (or perhaps dynamic, occasionally updated) simple diagram that shows you each of the 24 hours of the day and how many people are usually (according to past statistics) online during these hours. For example: 01pm: ********* 548 players 02pm: ************ 762 players 03pm: ******************* 1095 players 04pm: ***************** 976 players . . . 04am: ****** 422 players 05am: **** 316 players 06am: ** 230 players 07am: *** 298 players 08am: ******* 476 players (Yes, I know the columns are disproportionate AND that this diagram in no way reflects reality. It's just an example.) From this diagram you can decide which is the best time to log on for your purposes. Let's say you want to sell your full rune and would like to have as many potential buyers around to shout your offer at. From the diagram you see that it's best to log on at about 3pm, it's usually crowded then. Or, say that you want to mine adamantite and wish to be online when there probably aren't that many other addy miners around competing for the ore. From the diagram you know you'd better set your alarm clock to 6am and log on then. Did this give you a clearer picture? |

its a good idea but if youve played for as long as i have you get to learn when and when not people are on the most often. personally i dont need a graph to tell me when its safe to be mining rune. and also if you posted this for everyone to see it would cause an inbalance i think..pkers would know that the less people the more likely it is for people to be getting rares or mining in the wild etc and end up logging on in the less busy times purely for pking reasons. i can go without it but its an ok idea on the first hand. |

we could probably do that. just we need 2 people to do it. one person in one time zone checking for 12 hours then somebody else for the other 12 hours. to keep it constant at the top of the hour we record the worlds population |
