how come a lower lvl with the same wep but i have higher attack and strength hit higher than me ?

maybe his ammy, cape, or other armor gave him an att and str bonus higher than urs :?

He would hit high there you because:

1. He might've potted, and had beter equipment like ammies.

or

2. He might've used some prayers that increase attack, strength or defence.

or

3. He would've been a pure, with low defence, and very high strength and attack for his level.

or

4. He might've been very lucky that day.

Because the combat system sucks so bad that 80 percent of the time a lower lvl with worse stats ends up better?

1. He may have used prayer,potions,ammies and stuff to hit higher.
2. may have been a strength pure?
3. Maybe he was as shocked as you were to hit higher then you can. :D
