Skills needed to start.

38 Herblore
35 Smithing

Quests Needed
Elemental Workshop - Not needed but will be an advantage.

Part 1. Money needed to start.....100k. Skills needed to start.....38 Herblore.

Collect your 100k and go to a really populated members server. Eg, World 6, 2 etc.

Start Buying Rannar Weed for 5k each. Once you have spent all your money you should have around 20. Go to either Waterbirth Island or the peninsula by the crafting guild, and collect 20 snape grass. Go to seers bank and withdraw your armor, weapon and battered key and go to the elemental workshop. Go to the Water Elemental and collect 20 W/f Vials.(Vial step not needed if you have 20 vials.) Proceed to make 20 Prayer Potion's (3). Either go to Falador and startselling your prayer potions for 5.5k each, or go to the forums and sell them. You should have made 10k profit and earned about 2k Herblore xp.

Part 2. Money needed to start.....325-350k. Skills needed to start....35 Smithing.

Get you 325-350k and proceed to World 1. Falador east bank. Stand just outside the bank and start buying 2k coal for 125gp each. Once you have 2k coal, Buy 1k Iron Ore for 75k.

Go to the center of Falador and Smelt all of your 1000 Steel Bars. Then, make 4000 Cannonballs out of the 1000 Steel bars you have.

Go to World 2 and stand down in falador east bank. Sell your hard-earned 4000 cannonballs for 200gp each. You should now have 800k.

You have just made a profit of 475k. Thats enough for another 1k of steel bars.

I hope you enjoyed the guide!

For the CannonBalls you could just buy steel bars and you get a little less exp but it does'nt take as long and you make about 100k-300k each time. (Depending on how many you buy)

Isn't the second part simply the same as
Quote:
Smithing:

A branch out from mining, smithing is quite a good way to make money, but to do so you will need patience with it, as it may take a while (especially cannonballs. Oh boy) As non-members, steel plate bodies (at 48 smithing) is a good item to make. They high alchemy for 1,200gp each, and can sell to other players for 900 to 1,000gp each. After that, the next best items are runite. Rune axes, scimitars, battle axes and kites are the better items to make and sell. They are also high in demand so you would not have to hold on to them for a long time. Note that 'Full Addy' can be in demand sometimes, and 'Full Rune' is also a desirable set. As members, an extra bonus is the well-known Cannonball. After doing the Dwarf Cannon quest, you can get your hands on what is known as an 'Ammo Mould'. Cannonballs are worth 150gp to 200gp each, and one Steel Bar makes four. That's 600 to 800gp per bar. This is the best item to make until you hit rune smithing, whatever obscure high level that is.

Then, of course, there are bars. Steel bars sell for 550gp to 600gp each (depending on amount), mithril bars at 1,000gp each, addy bars at 2,000gp and upwards each and finally the famous pretty runite bars, at 15,000 to 18,000gp each (and I have had buyers for 20,000gp each even.)

Well, if my calculations are right, it should take 7 hours to make the cannonballs (3 min a load) and another 1.5 to make steel bars. Thats not a good profit if you think about it. Its taking you almost 8 hours.

the only problem is not that many people buy cannon balls
