never forget, jagex will never send you an email. therefore this is not an official runescape drop part by jagex. if you try to log in on the link your passowrd and account name will probably be emailed to the guy who sent you the email. This is also suspicious because he spells wrong and uses bad gramma.
Some other people has already got this email and posted somewhere on rsbandb because iv already seen this.

- DO NOT CLICK THE LINK -

Yes, there has been a lot of those emails going around. Even though it looks like its from JAGeX and all, there are numerous spelling errors, and the link says "securerunescape" instead of "runescape".

Just delete every email you get from "jagex" cause they said they will NEVER send you emails!

From Runescape

5. Watch out for fake emails, and fake staff!
There are many people pretending to be Jagex Staff or impersonating its creators. It is easy to forge emails, so don't trust an email just because it looks official.
Real staff will NEVER ask you for your password!

To help you be sure that correspondance from us is genuine, we send all messages to your RuneScape Message Centre. This is accessible from the RuneScape front page, and will require your RuneScape in-game login details (again, please be sure that you are at RuneScape.com).

We never send emails to players.

We never send emails saying we need your password to check you aren't cheating!
We never send emails saying we need your recovery-questions to check you didn't steal the account.
We never send emails containing attachments of any sort
We never send emails saying we need your password to let you join the Jagex staff.
We never send emails offering to let you test new features or servers. These are fakes!

i think the last one is probably the case right now

as the others have already pointed out, there are very obvious flaws in the invitation...

i'll just enumerate the ones i noticed:

1. if Jagex decides to host a drop party, it should be for everyone, and in the announcements board
2. if you're considered active, then why wasn't i included? (i play everyday!!!)
3. if it has been legit, the website address would be a lot different
4. if 3 is valid, then they are voilating their own rules... :P

so be very careful about logging into very suspicious sites like that one, and remember,

Jagex never sends emails
Never supply your Runescape username and password in any site other than Runescape
Never give your username and password to other players claiming to be Jagex staff

i would have thought an email from JaGeX, (should such a thing exist) it would probably not have spelling errors and ****y grammar.

Just a thought!

Jagex dont send e-mails though, so that thought has to be disregarded.

Yes I received the same email also. If you click on the link and log in, take a close look at the address bar ...your password is typed out there
I was just curious as to see what it would do. I immediately changed my password about 5 times. Jagex never sends you email to your private email address. It is sent to rd inbox.
