Ok, you need 30+ smithing to do this and you need 400k to start up. Buy 2k coal 150ea = 300k Buy 1k Iron 100ea = 100k Smelt them into Steel bars and sell 550 ea You used 400k into those ores and you get 550k when you sell 1k of steel bars, so you make 150k pure profit and get nice smithing xp.
