Skill this month is Smithing. Also remember that we'll be handing out the SKOTY award at the end of December. The SKOTY award goes to the person to gain the most experience in 2011 by competing in any Skill of The Month, no win required.

Whoo-hoo! Once again NOT FARMING!

At least I enjoy training Smithing. That means I'll be signing up for this one. I'm always on edge when it comes to this time of the month, I don't want to be caught off guard when it's another Farming SKOTM.

I am also 99 Smithing as well, so I won't be taking part. I don't really feel like shelling out the money for it either. Just going to continue on my goal to maxing.

I'm signed up and will do a little smithing, certainly not enough to compete though. I've been slowly trying to scratch off requirements for the Completionist cape, both trimmed and untrimmed. Since unlocking all of the artisan workshop rewards is one of the cape requirements, I've been slowly chipping away at it. I've been going the cheap, slow route, making ceremonial armor with level one iron ingots, and killing all ancestors along the way. I still need 135% respect to have it finished off, so that should be good for over 100k smithing, plus any smith effigy assist's I might decide to do during the month.

as for the link it only directs to a chart not a forum.

I think I somehow miss out on this months then, but for next time how do i properly sign up? I am confused.

For the last 7 days of each month, there is a form on that page to sign up for next months competition. You have to enter your RuneScape name, and submit it.

Unfortunately, you did miss it as it has started already.
