I joined, I'll probably get some xp. I don't like these combat ones anymore because people are going to pest control it. Whatever, I have 50k soul wars points I can cash out so I don't have to do any work whatsoever during the month =)

I guess so, but this is why there shouldn't be combat skills in skotm's.

Technically you could cheat in a few more skills like that. Save up Vinesweeper points and blow everyone away in Farming; cash in sq'irks for Thieving; save charms in basically same way for Summoning; save Slayer points; save Brimhaven Agility tickets... I'm sure there are even more.

Imo, I don't agree with referring to certain ways of gaining experience as cheating. I feel like Jagex goes above and beyond to prevent cheating and rsbandb follows suit. I don't agree with calling someone who has points saved up [in whichever mini game, etc] and using them on a certain Skotm contest a cheater; in fact I'd say they have/had a game plan and were planning for the future.

It just really bugged me to see the word cheater pertaining to something so closely monitored and perfected for fair play, and for people to actually think of these methods as cheating when they themselves are just not satisfied that they can't use those same resources and methods because of there lack of ability, planning, or whatever the case may be.

I'd save your complaining for when the SKOTM starts if people are already getting worked up about methods... They're all a part of the game, therefore, they are fair If you can't beat them, join them.

Oh, I don't consider it cheating. I just got the impression that others did and so I used that word to follow it up. Personally it doesn't bother me. They're RuneScape skills, that's how you train them. Competitors who take advantage of these methods certainly have the upper hand, but it's not like it's unfair. They've worked to get that position.

Jagex locked pest control off from everyone but marking?! Good god I know I've been away but that's terrible.

I don't see why people are calling pest control cheating because it's not. It also isn't even the fastest way of gaining xp. I can camp armoured zombies for 80k xp an hour doing no work while pest control requires attention and the max xp there is only 60k an hour.
