Step 1: Getting the Jagex client.
First, you need the RuneScape client. If you already have this you can skip to step 2.

1)Go to RuneScape's main site.
2)Go to Community > Downloads & Wallpapers. There you will find the Windows Client. Click download and when prompted, select save. Now, it doesn't really matter where you save it, just remember the folder you put it in.

Step 2: Configuring Xfire.
For many people, Xfire will not automatically pick up the RuneScape client. They have to manually configure Xfire to find it.

In Xfire, go to Tools > Options > Games.
1)Expand the Not Installed list and find RuneScape.
2)Select Manual Setup.
3)Select browse. Locate the folder you saved the client in and hit OK.
4) Apply
5) OK

Now when you go to play RuneScape, just open that client, and Xfire should pick it up.
You can just open the client and play from your regular browser if you prefer.

If my guide didn't help you get it going, you can PM me.

Thank you!!!! I was wondering how you did that.

Is it possible to do it on swiftkit?

No, you can't get it to detect SwiftKit as RuneScape, but what you can do is just leave the RuneScape client open (you don't have to load the game in the client for Xfire to pick it up) and play from SwiftKit anyway.

Ok, guys. You would figure it's clear enough but you have to start looking at the big box present on every page in the Submissions forum.

You have to start following that, a number of posts from this topic alone have been removed.
