Nice guide Thief. I've never been to barrows myself, but I do have a suggestion. I don't know if it would work or not but a good pking trick is to snare people then step a few steps away and range/mage them (this only works well if the person you snare fights using melee). Maybe you could do that on the brothers? It might save a lot of prayer pots and could be very useful if you do run out of prayer. I dunno if it would work though, just an idea.

Wahahaha!! I finished the FAQ Section, randomly questions I came up with and answered and some I used from the people who asked me.

Also a new puzzle pic added, and I stopped putting my reward pics in because they belong in my other thing. My Barrows Post.

Verac's special is that he has a chance to ignore armor. So therefore, he hits more often. You have him listed as having no special =P

Reason for that is in my guide I use PROTECTION FROM MELEE method (why dont you read it?!). I don't list that special because I have not confirmed exactly if he can bypass armour (he did hit a 23 on me when I was about to die though...), but he isn't able to bypass Protection From Melee.

However bypassing Protection From Melee actually works when YOU wear the armour, not Verac. (Verac's full armour comes in handy when fighting the Kalphite Queen, hence the reason the prices are going back and forth like a ping-pong ball.)

Jagex has already confirmed that he does infact have a chance to ignore armor. However, the NPC cannot bypass prayer.

For barrows you do not need a positive mage attack bonus to kill them, You can wear full rune and a slayer staff... You would still hit quite often.

Try wearing dragon hide legs and ranging ahrim.
Dont waste food "meleeing" karil.. just mage him too

Image

This is what I wear.. Karils top for mage and crush defense along with range attack, the Ahrim hood is pretty good in defense too :D

I can see how your idea would work, yes some people melee Karil, but I mage him with the Slayer Staff. It is only suggested that Melee does work better but if they want they could use Magic. I range Ahrim or I melee him, either way I think range works better. I only like to use my full splitbark because of the high Magic Bonus (right now it's holding a record at 61+ plus mystic hat and slayer staff). The pic I include at the beginning is only what I use, I only put it up there to give people an idea about what to use during Barrows. Y'know give some kind of idea to those who need an idea. Other than that it's totally up to people about how they approach the brothers.

y' know, if you wear full mystic (hat, body, bottom, boots, gloves) and a slayer staff, your mage bonus goes up to +64, thats wat i used

Yeah, I uh, kinda changed the ways I perform Barrows now but it's been kind of a rough week and all. I'll get to editing this guide one way or another.

Also I found another way to Barrows, so I'll work on this more. I almost promise that.

(After all this is in Submissions so it has to be spiffy looking :o )

Oh, also getting laptop fixed this weekend so... Yay?

Thanks Metal.

I'm starting to do Barrows again, so I'm going to work on more methods and such. I'll finish up a walkthrough of the Myreque boat path, and I might even show how to use Ancient Magicks. And I found some new methods as to how to make 2 Barrows runs in 1 trip. Expect some changes. And I'll also include Snare and Ice Burst methods. Not exactly Snare, I'll have Entangle in a few trips. But whatever the person using this guide can use.

Post subject:  magic dart

Magic dart is barely effected by magic bonus. in fact im not even sure if it is effected +50 or -50 and i could barely tell the difference. also it is the most cost effective spell and u can "recycle" your rewards. decent guide too bad it realys so heavily on pray pots that the average gain is minimized
