Start: Speak to Effigy southeast of Ardougne
1. Speak to Effigy and he will tell you that the workers are being lazy and he wants you to finish what they left off.
2. go to talk Bonafido, he's just laying around drinking tea.
3. He wants you to wear a builder's uniform. Talk to the workers around him.
Pickpocket No Fingers for the boots.
"The guns" will give you his shirt for a pint of beer.
"Black-eye." He will ask you to answer questions for his hard hat. Answer 3, Torn curtains and 10 clay.
Gummy will tell you that he lost some of his old clothes when he hung them out to dry but a storm blew them away. Search the plants on the south east corner of the tower and find his pants.
6. Speak to Bonafido again. He will ask you some questions to test your mental attitude as a builder.
He will ask what drinks does a builder drink, it's tea.
Next he'll ask how you whistle, whistle for attention.
Then he'll ask how do you know when it's time to change your pants, say when your legs get cold.
Finally he will ask what do you do when you cut your fingers. You say carry on with the work the finger will heal itself (great health care).
7. He will now allow you inside, you need to fix three things, pipe system, pressure machine and a strange cage, don't forget your saw and hammer.
8. First machine is the pressure machine, in the crates on the bottom floor look for 4 couloured balls, 3 metal sheets, and 4 vaulve wheels. head up the stairs to the pipe machine.
Now you need to get the water flowing, use the levers and values to get the water to the top, do number 1 and 2 first.
9. Now then for the pipe machine find 6 rivets, 4 pipes, and 5 metal rings.
When you're done make sure it looks like this
10 Now for the cage get 5 metal bars and 4 bottles of binding fluids.
Just mess around with this one to get all the metal bars to the right length to fill in the red gaps.
11. Alright you are done now talk to Effigy he'll start talking about some experiment which then you'll go up to the roof and a cut scene will happen.
12. Seems like the mages were trying to summon a creature and they did very badly (this really seems like the human cloning debate)
13. After the cut scene talk to Effigy, he wants you to kill the thing but when you go up you'll just want to talk some sense into it.
If he wants to talk about magic think more of Runescape, if he wants to talk about logic think more of real life.
14. Talk to Effigy again and it will bring you down below. Go down the trap door and head North, talk to it again and you shall get your reward.
side note: this place is a summoning area, if you have the right objects to sacrifice you can summon animals. This seems like a nice place to get seconds for herblore.
