Post subject:  Calculated Easy 1-70 Fletching

I've calculated the way from 1-70 fletching fully. I've figured out just how many things you need to have to get from 1 fletching to 70 with minimal effort. It took the Fletching Calculator from RSBandB and 3 other normal calculators to do it correctly. Check it out:

Logs
505 normal logs
787 oak logs
8885 willow logs

Other Items
Knife
390 Feathers
8439 Flax/Bowstrings

Okay, now with the steps to get there:

Let's start out with only what you can fletch. This will make you no money. The first 4 steps involve normal log items which are worth almost nothing.
1. (Level 1-5) [EXP=0]
Take 26 normal logs and make them into 390 headless arrows. Attach feathers to them all.

2. (Level 5-9) [EXP=390]
Take 116 normal logs and make them into 116 unstrung short bows. Make sure not to string them.

3. (Level 9-10) [EXP=970]
Take 31 normal logs and make them into 31 wood stocks. Do not put bronze attachments on it.

4. (level 10-20) [EXP=1156]
Take 332 normal logs (the last of them) and make them into unstrung long bows. Make sure not to string them.

Now we will move onto oak logs. These are hardly sellable to players, but they can sell to general merchants for about 7-10ea, which adds up considering you'll need about 800 bows... Calculations say that adds up to about 6k. Not too bad for oak, but not very good if your going to want to make major money.
5. (level 20-25) [EXP=4476]
Take 204 oak logs and make them into unstrung oak short bows. Make sure not to string them.

6. (level 25-35) [EXP=7842]
Take 583 oak logs (the last of them) and make them into unstrung oak long bows. Make sure not to string them.

Time to move onto willow logs. Now you'll be able to make money from merchants like crazy. The merchants love to buy strung willow long bows. Be sure to sell them. You'll get loads from the next 2 steps if you sell them all to merchants.
7. (Level 35-40) [EXP=22417]
Take 446 willow logs and make them into 446 unstrung willow short bows. Make sure not to string them.

8. (level 40-70) [EXP=37427]
Alright, last step to 70... Take 8439 willow logs and make them into 8439 unstrung willow long bows. Take the long bows and string them all. These will sell quite well to merchants if you sell them all...

Completed. You've got 737684EXP and are level 70 fletching. Now, thanks to atheism_rule, I will put up the prices for everything put together.

TOTAL PRICES

505 normals - 20ea = 10,100
787 oaks - 32ea = 25,184
8885 willows - 30ea = 266,550
390 feathers - 3ea = 1,170
8739-
Flax - 100ea = 873,900
Strings - 200ea = 1,747,800

Total cost (with flax)-1,176,904
Total cost (with bowstring)-2,050,804

You might be asking why I made this guide. There is actually a reason. There are people who might want to start fletching and want to know exactly how to do it quickly and efficiently. Yes, this may cost a lot to do, but getting 70 this fast and accurately is worth it. Making yew longs is worth it too. I don't know EXACTLY why I made this guide considering I am not a member... but using the calculators are fun on RSBandB... So I had a good time. Anyways, leave me some feedback.

its a good guide, but i would consider adding in total prices. In fact, here thay are.

505 normals-20 ea-10,100
787 oaks-32 ea-25,184
8885 willows-30 ea-266,550
390 feathers-3 ea-1,170
8739-
Flax-100 ea-873,900
Strings-200 ea-1,747,800

Total(flax)-1,176,904
Total(bs)-2,050,804

Nothing a solid bank can't handle. In fact, if you have 1.35m, you can earn that in two weeks

fastest low lvl way to raise fletching is to chop regular logs in varrock and make arrow shafts out of them right there.

Many thanks. I'll add that into the guide.

Oh really? How many would you need to make to get 730k exp? Isn't it like... 5xp per 15 you make... which is 5xp per log? Hmm... let's do the math. 146k logs you'll need. How's that compared to about 505 normals, 1k oaks, and 9k willows? You'd be making 146k logs into something instead of only 10.5k... I think that this way would be much easier.

chopping and making shafts is a good way to get from 1 to 10, but it's horribly slow afterwards.

That's part of the reason why I made and wrote this guide...
