Who here is going to get it? You can currently download it for $40. If you've got Windows 7 Home Premium license on your computer you can upgrade to Windows 8 without losing any installed application.

I'm not sure yet myself. This desktop I have is relatively new. I just got Win 7 Pro Upgrade a few months ago to test out some stuff. I don't think I'll upgrade my desktop quite yet. I was thinking about getting a laptop, though. I may wait a little while to get a laptop with Win 8 then compare. I'm just not sure if I'll like Win 8 that much. I'll just hold off for a bit until I hear some reviews and see what its capabilities are.

I am not sure. I have a free copy with my school. I may wait to see if people say it is totally worth it, or not.

I still have Vista on my laptop lol. Not going to upgrade my desktop from Windows 7 for awhile I think.

Regardless of whether people are getting Windows 8 Pro or not, claim this now:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/feature-packs

Works for me, there's no verification on checking for Windows 8 Pro, and it's free for a limited time.

You may not need it, but what harm will it do?

While true, that expires (and the code will no longer work) on January 31st 2013. So make your mind up now folks, and buy while the upgrade price is still dirt cheap :)

Well then I have a few months to give the code to somebody.

Well I've been using it for a while now and I got to say it speeded up my computer a lot. Boot times are around 75% faster and IE10 starts up within a second. It also seems to handle memory a lot better. I'm not sure how they do it but in Windows 7 Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks were using about 1GB of RAM after half an hour or so. Now I can work for hours with those programs and it will still use less than 300 MB of RAM. Perhaps a better garbage disposal? I'm not sure, all I know it feels an awful lot faster.

And that metro interface? It took me 1 day to get used to it.
