Ok im a level 87 with 12 farming... ive heard its a realy good profit and im starting to get interested. the only thing is im not entirely sure on how to start and how to level quickly. I also dont know the basics very well, any tips and advice would be very helpful.

Fruit trees are the best way to level up quickly, up until level 60 or so you're guaranteed a level each run if you're using the highest trees you can. You can also do regular trees if you want to save some money, with herb runs in between to compensate for the cost. As with any skill, you can also use lamps and Tears of Guthix to level it up. Just start off with allotments, flowers (Marigolds are good money, 4.8k each and the seeds cost 4gp!) and herbs,or do trees like 1 Stone Pwn suggested if you want faster levels.

In a nutshell, go to the patch, harvest, supercompost, plant the seeds, pay the farmer, go do something else, come back later and repeat. Don't stand there and wait on them to grow >.<
