http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016 ... ar-burma-cretaceous/ The tail of a 99-million-year-old dinosaur, including bones, soft tissue, and even feathers, has been found preserved in amber, according to a report published today in the journal Current Biology. While individual dinosaur-era feathers have been found in amber, and evidence for feathered dinosaurs is captured in fossil impressions, this is the first time that scientists are able to clearly associate well-preserved feathers with a dinosaur, and in turn gain a better understanding of the evolution and structure of dinosaur feathers. Good read, this is so cool. |

From the picture I thought it was something massive (in size not discovery) Certainly took a jewellery maker a closer look to realize that there is a prehistoric feathery gift contained inside. What if it wasn't noticed.... How much more is out there waiting to be found and studied. |

This is legitimately awesome. I always wanted to be an archeologist, but I don't think I can handle the long hours at a dig. I love dinosaurs! |

World is full of surprises. |
