Only been a fan since the new jets came back. Only followed the NHL since then but this is the roster they inherited: http://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/WPG/2012.html And this is what they have now: http://jets.nhl.com/club/roster.html Way more depth and one of the best prospect pools in the NHL. I've heard winnipeg is a bit of a dump but I'll have to get out there sometime to see a game or three. I love the way Maurice has them playing. Big, fast and aggressive. |

It's nice to see lots of Canadian teams in the playoffs this year. I didn't say this, but I hope the sens make it too tonight. Much rather that than Boston at least. Of all of them, I'd probably like to see Winnipeg win the most. Usually default to Vancouver but they're pretty yesterday's news. Barely followed anything this year once the leafs decided to join the oilers in the forever basement, though. like wtf I've "been" to Winnipeg. What I mean is I flew in, walked to the greyhound station across the street and boarded a bus. The airport is in the west end of the city and I was heading west so I didn't see downtown or anything, but the couple of streets before we got onto the highway all had a ghettoy feel lol. It don't think it's as bad as the sample I got, but I think the city is pretty modest either way. |
