Just like the title says. Are there any upcoming albums that you are looking forward to, and cant wait to hear?

For me, I would say that the album I am most looking forward to is Bring Me The Horizon's new album which is due out in the summer. I am also looking forward to Fightstar's new album.

I'm also looking forward to the debut album from Young Guns in July 2010. If you haven't heard of them, I really suggest checking them out, they're a really good new UK band.

I'm curious about Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's new album that's coming on on the 8th, and if it'll sound anything like their last one, they've changed their sounds so much now. XD

A7x are in the studio recording with Mike Portnoy on the drums, which shall be really interesting. I think it'll be a cool mix, Portnoy being THE drummer of drummers, after all, but it'll also probably be a tough one to listen to, especially knowing how much the band cared about The Rev.

Overall, it looks like quite a lean year for music though, which is a mite disappointing. None of my really favourite bands are coming out with anything new this year, most of them already did in 08/09.

I have to second Ryan on both those albums, both are extremely good UK and live bands, Young Guns from personal experience and BMTH from Ryna's stories. I'm looking forward to Bullet For My Valentine's new album Fever, out sometime in April. As well as that, I'm also quite excited about Kids In Glass Houses' new album Dirt, out end of March. They too are a good live upcoming UK band, I saw them recently with Lostprophets and will be seeing them again in May. Also, some more obvious ones have to be a7x's first album without the Rev, a new Foo Fighters album possibly and some new Linkin Park work, as well as the next Trivium album.

Also keep in mind that any album that are stated frequently, will be prioritised for me for my music articles for the informer.

Amen to that. It's going to be different without the Rev's drumming and background singing. I hope the drumming style doesn't mimic Dream Theater's too much, although I don't think it will as they already announced that they had written the material. Couldn't have chose a better drummer for the job to be honest.

Wouldn't say I'm looking forward to but I'm interested in hearing the new korn album that's always good for a listen even if you don't like it.

Bad Religion is supposed to have a new album this year, but I don't think there is any information on it yet... All they have so far is like 5 shows night to night at the same venue or something to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Not really 'excited' about anything right now, though.

Propagandhi are making a new album but not released until 2011 at least, I think. I think they plan to record in 2010? If it came out in 2011 it would be really cool because: their debut album was 1993, their next 1996, next 2001, next 2005, next 2009. So it would be the fastest they've done one.

Ah yeah I'm vaguely looking foward to the MCR one. Fightstar too and All American Rejects are trying to do a really quickly released album so that should be a good listen too.

So Bad Religion has shed more light and:
They will release a free live album in late spring
They will release their new studio album in the fall.

Maybe this thread can come back to life.. since there are several albums due to be released later this year that I've been waiting to buy.
upcoming albums

Bloodhound Gang's - getting laid on a school bus
Blue October's - any man in America
Blink-182's - ( though would have to listen before buying.. they probably turned more pop then rock )
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus's - am I the enemy

and that's all I can think of.

I kinda wanna hear the new Blink stuff but it's starting to turn into some kind of Chinese Democracy style thing, where they take years and years to release it, then it's just quite poor. Looking forward to new The Devil Wears Prada, new Machine Head, new Lamb of God and maybe new All American Rejects :D

Dissent of Man was an amazing album. I listen to it pretty much daily along with The empire strikes first ofc. I'll be getting the new Bad Religion one definitely.

Personally I'm itching to get my hands on the new Offspring alum which is supposed to be released soon. No ETA yet but they're "nearing the end" apparently. Sort of becoming a chinese democracy situation lol. Hopefully it won't suck as bad as that did >.>

edit: didn't notice the other chinese democracy reference a few posts up when I posted this. :P
