I wandered over to the centre with my stance on crime & punishment but I've had no real policy issues since I moved to the centre, the moment I do I'll be back on the left.

You won't know until the issues come up though.

I wouldn't have guessed that I'd be deadly close to turning either authoritarian or right wing, but some of the issues that come up give very unexpected consequences.

I don't know what issues will come up.. obviously.. but as my views on crime and punishment are the only set of my political beliefs that are remotely close to the right then its fair to see that 'inoffensive centerist democracy' is the furthest to theright I'll be going.
