From what I know that company had a 35% share since 2006 and they got 55% almost a year ago already. Stellardawncentral had a financial report on 2011 for Jagex. |

They care about the numbers and they'll keep whoring out the game and watering it down till they've got all they can. Then they'll buy up the next big thing and do the same. Don't believe me? Its a Murdock, not the guy who owns sky news and likes hacking people's phones. But yeah, its sad to see runescape die. I almost want to bribe Mod Mark (no, I'm pretty sure MM cares enough about RS to give it for free if he's not connected to it) for the complete RuneScape source and start an offshoot of runescape that is a private server that actually has good updates and is donation based. This will never happen though. Glad I let my subscription expire when I did, and when I did play f2p, I blocked all the ads. |

I believe it was inevitable that a US company would take over Jagex. American businesses like to do that kind of thing especially with something so popular and profitable. |

I'm pretty sure any business likes to do this sort of thing. From whatever country. I also didn't realize it wasn't Rupert Murdock. I take it all back. Unless hes related. Is he related? |

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been said. Possibly scary though. It also does shed some light on why there has been a lot of push to encourage membership (f2p off hiscores, loyalty programme, 2x xp weekends, deals on membership)... |

Pretty much agree with everyone else, this isn't really helping anything. I don't play RuneScape much anymore because of the problems it's suffering. |

Also, realistically, thats where most of the RS players are from so it makes sense to have it in the US. Also, saying that since it is a US owned company now will kill the game, well, that is simply not true. |
